Les Miserables
On Friday, August 8, 2008, Alumni Relations hosted an event at the Hollywood Bowl. Over 250 alumni gathered for an evening filled with the music of Les Miserables.
Student Send-Off Events
Alumni Relations held their annual Student Send-off events throughout the months of July and August. Over 600 people attended the eleven events in eleven different cities including Portland, Seattle, San Diego, Inland Empire, and Denver.
Wheatstone Academy Conference
Biola University hosted a conference for Wheatstone Academy on the week of July 6-11. The conference was attend by students ages 15 to 19, who are passionate about diving further into their faith.
1960s Alumni Reunion
Over 200 alumni celebrated their journey "From the 60s to Our 60s" at a 1960s Decade Reunion held on the Biola campus July 4-6.
2008 Centennial Commencement
Biola's 2008 centennial commencement, held on Friday May 23 and Saturday, May 24, featured the largest graduating class in Biola's history with nearly 1000 graduates total from the University.
Case For Christ
Nearly 1,500 people from all over southern California descended on the Chase Gymnasium on Tuesday, May 27 to see Lee Strobel, J.P. Moreland, Mike Erre, and Craig Hazen present the “Case for Christ.”
Closing Ceremony Centennial Chapel
Borrowing a page from the Olympic Games, Biola brought its centennial year to an end May 14 with a regal “closing ceremony” chapel that encapsulated the year’s many events.

President Emeritus Clyde Cook Memorial Services
More than 6,000 people celebrated the life of President Emeritus Clyde Cook with laughter and tears during two separate memorial services held the week after his passing.
